Towards Spring City
I love reading blogs - visiting unknown lands, snaking through little allies and indulging in visual feasts of piping hot food miles and miles away, through the photographs and prose of others. Sometime towards the end of twenty eleven, I chanced upon Maps and Fragments by Sewon. Sewon was living in Kunming, Yunnan Province then, and also documented her travels to neighboring places.
There couldn’t have been a better way to wrap up her twenty eleven travels, with the release of her limited edition photo zine - 前往春城，Towards Spring City. Featuring full color photographs that were taken in 2011 in Seoul, Busan, Beijing, Yunnan, and places in between, this pocket-sized zine, independently published at a small print shop in Yunnan Province, is the perfect coffee table photo book for anyone.
